Unrivalled run, walk, and MTB courses through a back-country station.

500 spots. All-inclusive. An experience like no other. September 28 2019

Nestled in the secluded Taharua Valley in New Zealand’s North Island – just a 40 minute drive from Taupo – Poronui is an authentic back-country station set in the foothills of the beautiful Kaimanawa Mountain Ranges.

The Poronui Passage is a new concept in trail events: the “lux” trail event. Sort of like treating yourself to a day at the spa – except it's a challenging and insanely scenic MTB, walk or run wrapped up in all the special treatment you could wish for.

Think cosy blankets and fires, gourmet post-event fare, beautiful high-quality event apparel, all the barista coffee you can drink, epic medals, free event photos, a stunning and inaccessible location, craft beers and wine at the finish line, and heaps more. It’s going to be quite a day. See what’s included here.

Check out what celebrity A-listers have to say about The Poronui Passage and have a good laugh 😂 (See more videos in the series HERE)

Treat yourself to something special.

Though we dearly love the rigamarole of most event days, Poronui Passage is a different style all together. It’s a laid-back day where you don’t have to think about a thing. You just show up, put up your feet, and let us do the heavy lifting (that is, until the start horn sounds). And after your event? Get at taste for Poronui’s legendary hospitality here.
